Since 1634, the most famous Passion Play in the world has taken place in Oberammergau. The village at the edge of the Bavarian Alps expects approximately 500,000 visitors for the passion play, over half of which will be international guests. All participants, from actors playing the big speaking parts such as Jesus, Mary or Judas, through members of the choir, orchestra members, firemen and ushers, must have been born in Oberammergau or lived there for at least 20 years.
In 1980, 1984, 1990, 2000 & 2010 ETS was the largest distributor of Passion Play tickets.
All ETS guests were able to attend the full play. Other companies promised tickets but
were unable to secure enough and forced their guests to share tickets. Don’t wait until 2030 to see this once-in-a-lifetime, world famous expression of Faith in Action!
Guests that pay in full for their Passion Play program by January 1, 2018 will lock in their rates, which may fluctuate due to changes in ticket pricing, taxes, fuel surcharges and/or currency fluctuations.
